Free Medical Camp Devadhanam
In a heartwarming endeavor to bring healthcare closer to those in need, The Mother Teresa Health Centre organized a free medical camp and awareness program in Devadhanam village of Thiruvarur district. This initiative aimed to provide essential medical services and create awareness among the underprivileged residents who lack access to basic healthcare facilities.
Providing Lifesaving Assistance
The medical camp, facilitated by The Mother Teresa Foundation, in coordination with Rev. Fr. Arokiya Bhaskar, Parish Preist of St. Anne’s Church, Devadhanam offered free consultations and medications to individuals unable to afford healthcare. For many, this camp served as a lifeline, offering much-needed medical attention and support. The dedicated medical staff conducted thorough examinations, including blood pressure, hemoglobin levels, random blood sugar tests, and electrocardiograms (ECG), identifying underlying health issues and providing appropriate treatment.
Creating Health Awareness
Beyond medical assistance, the camp focused on raising awareness about the importance of regular health checkups and preventive measures. Through informative sessions, residents learned how to maintain good health and prevent illnesses. By empowering individuals with knowledge, the initiative aimed to foster a culture of proactive healthcare and wellbeing within the community.
Impacting Lives
A total of 338 individuals, including 177 females, 78 males, and 83 children, benefited from the medical camp in Devadhanam. The initiative not only provided immediate relief to those in need by providing free medicines but also laid the foundation for a healthier, more resilient community. By promoting access to healthcare and raising awareness, the Mother Teresa Health Centre’s efforts are contributing to the long-term wellbeing of Devadhanam village.
