Development of a Society is the development of a Nation
India ranks 129 out of 189 countries on the HDI (Human Development Index, 2019) released by the UN Development Program. It clearly indicates that the inequality and depravation in the community remains high.
The Mother Teresa Foundation launched the Community Development Program as one of its first initiatives to solve these societal issues.
The Foundation provides the vulnerable with necessary supplies and guidance to alleviate their suffering.

Chairman Meeting Destitute Widows in Rameswaram
More than 600 young women (some younger than 25 years old) with multiple children have been widowed in the small island town. Most of the widows lost their husbands to Sea Accidents, Drugs and Alcoholism or Suicide due to extreme poverty.

Construction of a house for a Physically Challenged Family
The Foundation is undertaking building of a house for a Family of three (with a school going daughter) with both the parents being physically challenged.
Official inauguration of an Oxygen Generator Plant at Govt. Hospital, Budalur
Shri. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Hon’ble Minister for School Education, inaugurated the 100 LPM Oxygen generator offered to govt. hospital of Budalur, on behalf of Mother Teresa Foundation. This equipment can cater to 20 patients simultaneously.
Differently abled supported on eve of Transgender Day
On this memorable occasion, the beneficiaries were provided with prosthetic leg and other necessary equipments, which was a moment of great relief and comfort.
