Suyamvaram: A successful Marriage Prospect Assistance event exclusively for The Visually Impaired

The Mother Teresa Foundation conducted an event on the 19th of May 2024 titled “Suyamvaram” This unique initiative, aimed at assisting visually impaired individuals in finding marriage prospects, was the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu. The event was conducted under the Foundation’s Community Development Program

Suyamvaram welcomed over 300 participants. The atmosphere was one of excitement and anticipation, as attendees mingled and interacted, hopeful of finding their life partners. The event was held at the premises of The Mother Teresa Anbu Illam, which was suitable towards the accessibility needs of the visually impaired. Trained volunteers and facilitators were on hand to assist, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and included.

The chief guest of the event was Mr. Mohammed Ehiya, Chairman, Black Tulip Flowers. The event was also headlined by Mr. NT Balasundaram Managing Director, Noble Builders Thanjavur. in addition to the Chairman and Trustees of The Mother Teresa Foundation and other digintaries.

The Mother Teresa Foundation has announced plans to make Suyamvaram an annual event, aiming to reach more visually impaired individuals and make this a continuous and successful program.
