The Mother Teresa Foundation has provided livelihood assistance under The Mother Teresa Community Development Program to a family of 5 in the city of Tiruchirappalli.

The family resides is a small single room home with a thatched roof. Having no higher education (they have completed high school) the parents run a small roadside cart food vending business that serves breakfast. They have very little resources to run this business to even meet their basic needs.
The Foundation has provided them with vessels, serving plates, drinking utensils that will help them serve their customers, In addition to help them prepare their food to sell, The Foundation has also provided them with a Commercial grade Gas Stove with 3 burners, and 2 Commercial Gas Cylinders. We hope our initiative helps them to move up in the community and grow to be a large successful business.
This family has 3 small school going children whose education is also being taken care of by the foundation under The Mother Teresa Scholarship Program.
