Scholarship to deserving students

In the function held at Mother Teresa Foundation on April 30, 2022, scholarship was awarded to 53 students, for the current academic year, for school and college levels, amounting to Rs. 5, 06,000/-, under Mother Teresa Scholarship Program.

The cheques towards scholarship were handed over to the beneficiaries by our Chief Guest Shri. Swaminathan, Additional Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime, Thanjavur Circle. During his address, he motivated the students to focus on studies, and also praised the charitable activities being carried out by the Foundation. And wished the Foundation to scale greater heights for the cause of the underserved.

Shri. Karthikeyan, Inspector, Cyber Crime, Thanjavur Circle, Guest of Honor, besides praising the good work being done by the Foundation, highlighted the significance of Cyber Crime Department, and appealed to the audience to use the Department to save them from abuse.

A R Savarimuthu, Chairman, Mother Teresa Foundation, outlined the activities of the Foundation and its success story, for having reached over 15 lakh beneficiaries in the last 20 years. Moreover, Shri. A R Sampath Raghavan, Shri. H. Govindaraju and Shri. G. Muralikrishnan, Trustees of the Foundation participated in the function.

A. Mercy, Administrative Manager, welcomed the gathering and Shri. A. Rathish Kumar, Project Director proposed vote of thanks. Shri. Jerome, Logistics Manager, Rani, Viji, Public Relations officials, Christy, Vinodhini, Jacqueline and student volunteers from Social Welfare Department of Periyar Maniammai College made arrangements for the function.
