The Mother Teresa Foundation has been continuously working for the welfare of underprivileged communities, with a special focus on single mothers, destitute women, and other vulnerable groups.
As part of this mission, the Free Learning License Registration Camp for Single Mothers was organized in collaboration with Sudha Driving School, Thanjavur. This initiative aimed to help women take an important step towards independence by enabling them to obtain a driving license. The camp created awareness and provided direct support to those who had never accessed such opportunities before.

The Managing Director of Sudha Driving School, Mr. Singaram, provided valuable insights into the importance of driving skills in today’s world. He explained how having a driving license can enhance mobility, improve safety awareness, and open doors to employment opportunities.
His address encouraged participants to overcome hesitation and confidently step forward to learn driving. The clear and practical guidance helped them understand the significance of this initiative.
Explanation of Government Rules and Procedures
During the camp, all necessary government rules and procedures related to obtaining a Learning License (LLR) were explained in a simple and understandable manner. Participants were guided through the eligibility criteria, required documents, and application procedures.
Special emphasis was placed on traffic rules, road safety, and responsible driving practices.
Application Process
The application process was carried out smoothly with full support from the organizing team of Sudha Driving School. A total of 56 beneficiaries registered for the Learning License (LLR) during the camp.
The process was well-organized, ensuring that all participants completed their applications without difficulty.
Issuance of LLR Certificates
After completing the application process, the Chairman of the foundation personally handed over LLR Certificates to all 56 participants. This marked an important milestone, as they officially took their first step towards obtaining their driving licenses.
The foundation also assured continuous guidance and support until the participants successfully receive their driving licenses.
