Dr. K. Radhabai, our Trustee has written and published book titled “Everlasting Efforts”, a review of services to the blind.
We congratulate our Trustee, for the efforts taken by her in publishing the above book which is primarily based on the pioneering research carried out by her for her doctoral thesis. It contains materials gathered by her from various institutions far and off of the blind to provide the history of rehabilitation and service to the blind.
The book outlines the various phases in the rehabilitation of the blind globally and nationally with special reference to Tamil Nadu. It provides full details about the rehabilitation services offered to the blind in Tamil Nadu in the 20th century and the impetus given to the blind by implementing a variety of programs in Tamil Nadu.
