Scholarship Provided to School and College students in Kottaikadu Village, Pudukkottai Dt.

In an event held in Kottaikadu village in coordination with St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Kottaikadu on 20th September 2022, The Mother Teresa Foundation provided scholarship to 31 students at a total cost of Rs. 2.5 lakhs. The assistance was provided under The Mother Teresa Foundation’s Scholarship Program.

Kottaikadu and neighboring villages of Pudukottai District, are very backward in terms of socio-economic development. The Foundation identified school and college students who had the aptitude but were unable to achieve their educational aspirations due to difficulties. Their economic conditions were ascertained during our Counseling Event conducted on 17th Aug 2022.

These children are mostly under the care of single parents, differently-abled parents and Gypsies.

Dr. V. Muthuraja, member of Legislative Assembly, Pudukottai, presided over the function in the presence of Shri. V. Ramasamy, Tahsildar, Karambakudi and Guest of Honor Mrs. Gandhimathi Muruganandham. President, Mullankurichi Panchayat. The Chairman Dr. AR Savarimuthu and other Trustees of the Foundation, Parish Priests, Correspondent of the School, members of Parents Teachers Association and village education forum and Mullankurichi Panchayat Union members participated in the event.
