On the occasion of Mother Teresa’s 103rd birthday (26th August) The Mother Teresa Foundation celebrates (as is tradition every year) by introducing new programs to help those in need. This year is especially important to the foundation, as we have completed 10 years since inception.
To celebrate this milestone in a more meaningful way, we are holding celebratory events for two days 24 – 25 August 2013 (Saturday, Sunday)
Day 1:
Rtn. AR. Savarimuthu together with his trustees have planned to organize a ‘Career Guidance’ program for the benefit of students completing their high school education, the expected turnout for this event is around 5000 students.
The Career Guidance program will be presided over by Mr. Bhaskaren IAS, Collector, Thanjavur District and Mr. Vaithialingam, Minister, Housing and Urban Development, Tamil Nadu has graciously accepted our invitation to attend and initiate the proceedings on the 1st day.
Mr. Raja Krishnamoorthi, Trainer, Human Resource Development and a Film Artiste, Chennai will conduct the first session for the students titled “Puthiya Naan & Puthiya Bharatham” (New me & New India). Mr. Jayaprakash A Gandhi, Education consultant, Salem will conduct the afternoon session on the topic, “Higher Education (What is next?)”
Day 2:
On this day we will be celebrating the 103rd Birthday of our Blessed Mother Teresa. We have several striking personalities as speakers. The day will be presided over by Mr. AK. Natesan, Chairman, Excel Group of Institutions, Kumarapalayam & Kavery Group of Institutions, Salem and Vijay TV’s Mr. Gopinath will be the day’s Chief Guest.
During the proceedings of this day we will be handing out scholarships and other educational assistance to students to help them continue with their education. A book on “Computer Learning” developed by the instructor of our computer training center will also be released.
