Boys in Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal

During their 2 day long tour of Madurai, the boys visited among many important Historical sites the architecturally well known Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal built in 17th century. This Palace was built with the help of an Italian Architect and is a classic fusion of Dravidian, Islamic and European styles. The building built during the reign of Thirumalai Nayak, of Nayak dynasty which can be seen today, was the main Palace where the king lived. The boys had shown keen interest to know about the cultural heritage from the various tableaux erected in the building for the information of visitors.
